Note:  parenthesis indicates the product of (2x-5) and (3x-2)

  (2x - 5)(3x-2)

One can obtain the product as follows:

 2x(3x-2) - 5(3x-2)

  6x^2 -4x - 15x + 10

  6x^2 - 19x + 10



For ex: if You had started using mulitiplication rather than using addition...

 6x^2 + 10 ..you would have just been missing the middle term of 19x.
