Use polynomial long division,

           p^2 + 3p + 6
         ________________________________
5p^2 - 3 | 5p^4 + 15p^3 - 33p^2 - 9p - 18
       - (5p^4 + 0p^3 - 3p^2)
          ----------------------
                  15p^3 + 30p^2 - 9p
              - (15p^3 + 0p^2 - 9p)
                 ------------------------
                          30p^2 + 0p - 18
                      - (30p^2 + 0p - 18)
                         -----------------
                                        0
