Hi
x^2-9x-36
factoring is a process to format as a product of two terms (x +- a )(x +- b )
x^2-9x-36
format will be (x -a)(x+b) where -bx+ax =-9x and -a*b = -36
(x -12)(x+3) works! as -12x + 3x = -9x and -12*9 = -36
