Question 35454: Which of the following expressions represents the product of 3 less than twice x and 2 more than the quantity 3 times x ?
How would I write this out in a Rational expression?

Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 less than twice x means (2x-3)
2 more than the quantity 3 times x means (3x+2)

The problem calls for the PRODUCT of these quantities, so write
(2x-3)(3x+2)

If you want this expanded or multiplied out, it use the FOIL method (see my lesson plan by this title)
