The degree of a term is just the value of the exponent. The degree of the polynomial is the largest degree amongst the terms.

The degree of the 1st term=3
The degree of the 2nd term=2
The degree of the 3rd term=1
The degree of the 4th term=0
The degree of the polynomial=3
