Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2 + 9x + 14 = 0
(x + 2)(x + 7) = 0
Set each factor to zero and solve for x.
x + 2 = 0
x = -2
AND
x + 7 = 0
x = -7
Answer: x = -2 and x = -7
