SOLUTION: Divide an Simplify
-49+7x5 Divided by 121x-847/25
-49+7x/5 *25/121x-847 = (-49+7y)(25)/(5)(121x-847)
7(-7+y)(25)/(5)12(x-7)
Now I'm confused on what to do from here. H

Question 327643: Divide an Simplify
-49+7x5 Divided by 121x-847/25
-49+7x/5 *25/121x-847 = (-49+7y)(25)/(5)(121x-847)
7(-7+y)(25)/(5)12(x-7)
Now I'm confused on what to do from here. Have I done the above correctly?

Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-49+7x5 Divided by 121x-847/25
= (-49 + 7x)/5 * 25/(121x - 847) I think this is what you mean.
Cancel the 5
= (-49 + 7x) * 5/(121x - 847)
= -7*5*(x-7)/121*(x-7)
= -35/121

There's no y term
