Question 325287: Using the formula: 1÷f = 1÷o +1÷i
Find the image distance i for an object that is 2,000,000 mm from a 250-mm telephoto lens.
I know that f=250 mm and o=2,000,000 mm but do not know how to work it out.Could someone please work this out for me. Thank you
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiplying by 2,000,000 ___ 8000 = 1 + (2000000/i)
subtracting 1 ___ 7999 = 2000000/i
"cross" multiplying ___ i = 2000000/7999
FYI ___ the focal length is the image distance for an infinite object distance
