=x^2/[(x+2)(x-2)] - (x+2)/(x-2)
=[x^2 - (x+2)^2]/[(x+2)(x-2)]
=[x^2 - (x^2+4x+4)]/[(x+2)(x-2)]
=-4(x+1)/[(x+2)(x-2)]
