Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x-3)^2+(x+2)^2=17
x^2-6x+9 +x^2+4x+4=17
x^2+x^2-6x+4x+9+4=17
2x^2-2x+13=17
2x^2-2x+13-17=0
2x^2-2x-4=0
Divide by 2
x^2-x-2=0
x^2-2x+x-2=0
x(x-2)+1(x-2)=0
(x+1)(x-2)=0
x=-1 OR x=2
