Question 314422: I could really use some help answering the following question. I have tried to figure it out and I may have figured out parts of it, but not sure how to do all of it. Any help would be much appreciated. Here is the problem:
8x^2 over x^2-9 multiplied by x^2 + 6x+9 over 16x^3
I think that x^2 -9 factors down to (x+3)(x-3) and x^2 +6+9 factors down to (x+3)(x+3). I am not sure what to do with 8x^2 and 16x^3. Thank you in advance for any help.

(8x^2)/(x^2-9) * (x^2+6x+9)/(16x^3)

Factor to get:
[8x^2/[(x-3)(x+3)] * [(x+3)^2/(16x^3)]
-----
Cancel any factor common to a numerator and a denominiator,
such as 8,x^2,(x+3), to get:
---
[1/(x-3)] * [(x+3)/x]
---
Multiply to get:
= (x/3)/[x(x-3)]
