Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5/(x+4)+40/(x^2-16)
5/(x+4)+40/(x+4)(x-4) Find the LCD.
[5(x-4)+40]/(x+4)(x-4)
[5x-20+40]/(x+4)(x-4)
(5x+20)/(x+4)(x-4)
5(x+4)/(x+4)(x-4) Cancel out the (x+4) terms.
5/(x-4) ans.
