I didnt get it at all, but my friend said she got 35g^4 - 12g^2

which one is right, i am very confused. or are they both wrong?

So unfortunately, they are both incorrect. It looks like your friend tried to multiply it out. I'm not quite sure as there are too many mistakes. Your pastor is on the right track, but has the wrong first term.
