Question 307466: I have tried this problem, but I keep getting a remainder. Can you help please?
(3x^2-7x+1)/(3x-1)
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I get a remainder also! Are you sure you copied the problem correctly? If the problem had been (3x^2-7x+2)/(3x-1), then the remainder is zero. Actually, the numerator would have factored, and the fraction would have reduced.
