Answer by nerdybill(7384)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^3-3x^2-x+3=0
Solve by "grouping":
(x^3-3x^2)-(x-3)=0
x^2(x-3)-(x-3)=0
(x-3)(x^2-1) = 0
x = {3,-1,1}
