Answer by sdmmadam@yahoo.com(530)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x-4)/5-(x+2)/4 = (3-x)/10 ----(1)
Multiplying through out by 20 which is the lcm of the denominators 5,4 and 10
4(x-4)-5(x+2)=2(3-x)----(2)
4x-16-5x-10 = 6 - 2x
(4x-5x)-16-10 = 6 - 2x (grouping like terms)
-x-26 = 6-2x
-x+2x= 6+26 (grouping like terms changing sign while changing side)
x=32
Answer: x = 32
Verification:Putting x=32 in (2),LHS = -58 = RHS
