2x-6/21 divided 5x-15/12

Thank you.

Answer by Cintchr(481)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

factor a 2 from (2x-6) and a 5 from (5x-15)

multiply the outsides . multiply the insides. place back in outsides / insides

this step takes the place of writing the problem horizontially, finding the reciprocal of the second fraction and then multiplying.
next, reduce the fractions by canceling the (x-3)

reduce the 12 and 21 by dividing both by 3

multiply
