First you must get all the denominators to be the same. In this case 14.
multiply each fraction by (2/2) (7/7) (14/14)and (7/7) respectively


since this is an equation, and all denoms are all the same, we can drop them
subt 2x and add 77 to both sides

combine like terms
divide by 12 and reduce
