Question 296393: HELP ME PLEASE GRAPH THIS: f(x)=(x+1)^0(x+1)^3(x-9)^3
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Anything raised to the zero power equals 1
So remove (x+1)^0
f(x)=(x+1)^3*(x-9)^3
f(x) = x^6-24x^5+165x^4-80x^3-1485x^2-1944x-729
(x^2-8x-9)^3 = f(x)
The graph takes some odd dips
x = 4, y = -15625
It's zeroes are -1 and 9
It is not a parabola.
It does a curvy turn at both zeros
