(8/16-4/16)/(6/16+1/16)

4/7
Your "work" below is pure nonsense!
Did you even try after the first line?
9/16-4/16 divided by 6/16+1/16
[1/2=8/16 not 9/16]
[using your numbers It should be 5/16 over 7/16
answer 6/16 times 16/1 cancel the 16's
[again using your numbers
6/1=6 not 5]
and it is 5
but what happened to the whole numerator ? 9/16-4/16
and how did you go from
6/16+1/16
to
6/16 times 16/1
You went from plus to divide to multiply.

1/2-1/4 divided by 3/8+1/16
I got
9/16-4/16 divided by 6/16+1/16 ***** 1/2 = 8/16, not 9/16
= (4/16)/(7/16)
= 4/7
