Question 28908: In monomials, when you have negative exponents, do you still distribute to all numbers and mulitply negitively? such as...... 4 over 5 to the -2 power
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If -2 is the exponent, the negative means invert and the 2 means square.
If your problem is (4/5)^(-2)
you invert to get (5/4)^2
then you square to get 25/16
