Question 286260: I need to write this rational expression in its lowest term:
8x squared - 10x - 3 over
8x squared - 6x - 9
Answer by dabanfield(803) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(8x^2 - 10x - 3)/(8x^2 - 6x - 9) =
((4x+1)*(2x-3))/((4x+3)*(2x-3)) =
(4x+1)/(4x+3)
*Note that (2x-3)/(2x-3) = 1 so those terms cancelled out.
