Question 280535: A rancher builds a silo inside his corral. The rectangular corral measures 23m by 18m and silo's base is circular with diameter of 2x meters. Find the polynomial for remaining area of corral (in sq. meters) after silo is built....I think this may be a trick problem, but need help with it
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
corral =23*18=414
x is the radius of the circular silo
the area of the base of the silo is 3.14*x^2
so the remaining corral is 414-3.14x^2
Happy pi day!
