2x/6=4x+8/15 subtract 8/15 from both sides.
2x/6-8/15=4x find a common denominator & add the fractions.
(2x*5-8*2)/30=4x combine numerator terms.
(10x-16)/30=4x cross multiply
10x-16=4x*30
10x-16=120x
10x-120x=16
-110x=16
x=16/-110
x=-8/55
Proof:
2/6(-8/55)=4(-8/55)+8/15
-16/330=-32/55+8/15
-8/165=(-32*3+8*11)/165
-8/165=(-96+88)/165
-8/165=-8/165
