Question 269912: 3/4(y-3) = 2/5(y+4)
Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/4(y-3)=2/5(y+4)
3(y-3)/4=2(y+4)/5
3*5(y-3)=4*2(y+4)
15(y-3)=8(y+4)
15y-45=8y+32
15y-8y=32+45
7y=77
y=77/7
y=11 ans.
Proof:
3/4(11-3)=2/5(11+4)
3/4*8=2/5*15
24/4=30/5
6=6
