We know a product of numbers equals 0 if and only if at least one of numbers is 0.
In this case the product is zero if b = 0 and/or (b+16) = 0 and/or (b+3) = 0.
So the solutions for b in this equation are:
1.) b = 0
b+16 = 0 so
2.) b = -16
b+3 = 0 so
3.) b = -3
