Now 2(x+y)=46
2x+2y=46
x+y=23
y=23-x (subsitution)

xy=126
x(23-x)=126
23x-x^2=126
x%5E2-23x%2B126=0%2Cx
Factor take out the negative
x=14.
y=23-14
y=9
