Hello,
First, let's get rid of the fractions by multiplying each side by (y-8)^2 which will give us:
7(y-8) = 51 Now expand it out to be:
7y-56=51 Add 56 to both sides will result in:
7y=107 Divide both sides by 7:
y = 15.285714 (approx) Pretty wild answer, huh?
Plug this answer into the original equation and it will work out.
