Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is the rational expression?:
{3/(y-5) +y/(y+3) = 12/(y^2-2y-15)
----------------------
Multiply thru by (y-5)(y+3) to get:
---
3(y+3) + y(y-5) = 12
3y+9 + y^2 - 5y = 12
------
y^2-2y-3 = 0
(y-3)(x+1) = 0
y = 3 or y = -1
