Question 237602: evaluate f(g(1)) given f(x)=1 over x, g(x)=3x-4
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 evaluate f(g(1)) given f(x)=1 over x, g(x)=3x-4
First find g(1).
g(1) = 3(1) - 4
g(1) = 3 - 4
g(1) = -1
Now plug g(1) into f(x) = 1/x
I just found that g(1) = -1. See it?
Then f(-1) = 1/(-1) = -1
Final answer: f(g(1)) = -1.
