Question 237141: Algebra 2- writing polynominals as products of linear factors.
My prpblem is
I have graphed this equation and my zeros come out to be in between the 2 and 3 on both sides of the graph. What numbers do I use for that if im trying to do synthetic division?

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^4-5x^2-36
(x^2-9)(x^2+4)
(x+3)(x-3)(x^2+4)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -50 to 10, x^4 -5x^2 -36).
Use +3 & -3 for your synthetic divison.
