Question 232555: 12/ x^2+x-12 - 1/x-3 = -1
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
12/(x^2+x-12) - 1/(x-3) = -1
---
Factor:
12/[(x+4)(x-3)] - 1/(x-3) = -1
---
Multiply thru by (x+4)(x-3) to get:
12 - (x+4) = -(x^2+x-12)
12 -x -4 = -x^2 -x + 12
x^2 -4 = 0
x = 2 or x = -2
