Question 2304: How do you go about the process of multiplying polynomials by monomials for example.
2(n-3)+n(2-n)=2-nsquared
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the term outside the bracket is multiplied by everything inside the bracket, so...
2(n-3) becomes 2n-6
n(2-n) becomes 2n-
so combined we get
2n-6 + 2n- = 2 -
Bring everything onto one side, to give
Now collect like terms...
so, 4n = 8
n=2
