Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^4 + 4x^3 - 2x -8
=x^3(x+4)-2(x+4)
=(x^3-2)(x+4)
Because the polynomial is factorable it is NOT prime.
