Eliminate the fractions by multiplying each side of the equation by the LCM (least common multiple)
a.
2/(3x-1) - x/(x+1)=0 Maybe you forgot a division sign between the x and the (x+1)?
2(x+1)-x(3x-1)=0
2x+2-3x^2+x=0
-3x^2+3x+2=0
b.
2/(3x-1)-2x=0
2-2x(3x-1)=0
2-6x^2+2x=0
-6x^2+2x+2=0
-3x^2+x+1=0
.
c.
2/(3x-1)=3x/(x+1)
2(x+1)=3x(3x-1)
2x+2=9x^2-3x
9x^2-5x-2=0
.
You can solve the quadratic part using the quadratic equation.
