To solve for x we need to isolate it. IOW get it by itself.
First we will get it out of the denominator by multiplying both sides by that denominator:

Next we'll subtract 983.77 fropm both sides:

Next we will divide both sides by 491.885:


Since the above answer looks so unusual I wonder if the problem was supposed to be:

To solve this we will start with similar steps. Multiply to eliminate the fraction:

giving

Subtract 983.77

Divide by 983.77

And finally square both sides:
