Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=x^3-x^2-2x
.
To find the zeros, set f(x)=0 and solve for x:
0=x^3-x^2-2x
0=x(x^2-x-2)
0=x(x-2)(x+1)
.
Setting each term (on the right) to zero we get:
x = {0,2,-1}
Answer by RAY100(1637) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) =y = x^3 -x^2 -2x
factor
0 = x( x^2 -x -2 )
0 = x (x+1)(x-2)
x=0,,,,,,x+1 =0,,,,,,,x-2 =0
.
x=0,,,-1,,,,,,+2
.
check by inserting zeros in original,,,,ok
