6x(x-1)+4(x+4)(x-1)=(2x+2)(x+4) Multiply each side by (x+4)(x-1) to eliminate fractions.
6x^2-6x+4x^2+12x-16=2x^2+10x+8
8x^2-4x-24=0
4(2x^2-x-6)=0
2x^2-4x+3x-6=0
2x(x-2)+3(x-2)=0
(2x+3)(x-2)=0
.
2x=-3
x=-3/2
.
x=2
