See if the NUM has that factor.

Since the factorization of the numerator polynomial is not obvious, use the quadratic formula.
Hence, the factors are irrational.
The denominator is a perfect square:
Hence, the numerator and denominator have no factors in common and the rational expression is therefore already reduced to lowest terms.
