Question 187655: Find the roots of the polynomial function.
f(x)=(x+5)(x^2+7)-(x+5)(6x+2)
Answer by user_dude2008(1862) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)=(x+5)(x^2+7)-(x+5)(6x+2)
f(x)=(x+5)[(x^2+7)-(6x+2)]
f(x)=(x+5)(x^2+7-6x-2)
f(x)=(x+5)(x^2-6x+5)
f(x)=(x+5)(x-5)(x-1)
0=(x+5)(x-5)(x-1)
x+5=0, x-5=0, or x-1=0
Roots: x=-5, x=5, or x=1
