I know that I can pull out x squared from the left side, but am not sure if that really helps.

x³+3x² = x+3
x³+3x²-(x+3)=0
x²(x+3)-1(x+3)=0
(x²2-1)(x+3)=0
Factor x²2-1:
(x+1)(x-1)(x+3)=0

x=-3
x=-1
x=1
