simplify the rational expression:
x^3-2x^2+x-2/x-2
Factor the 1st two and the last two terms separately:
[x^2(x-2) + (x-2)]/(x-2)

= [(x-2)(x^2+1)] / (x-2)
= x^2 + 1
=================
