Question 165783: For the polynomial f(x)-4-2x^2+3x^4
a) Classify f(x) as constant, linear, quadratic, cubic, or quartic
b) find the leading term
c) find the leading coefficient
d) find the degree of the polynomial
Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
reorder with the highest order term first and list them in descending order
Highest power is 4, so this is a quartic
Leading term is the highest order term --> 3x^4
Leading coefficient is 3
degree is 4 (same as quartic)
