You can put this solution on YOUR website! First you subtract the two from both sides so that would then be 1/3x=4 and then divide 4 by 1/3 and you get your answer which is 12.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You can do it this way also:
Start canceling positives or negatives isolating the X. Here substract 2 in bouth sides so the +2 that is on the X side cancels.
1/3X + 2 -2 = 6 -2
1/3X = 4
Now you can cancel 1/3 by the opposite, multiply that by 3 in bouth sides two then:
3 * 1/3X = 4 * 3
3/3X = 12
Three over Three cancels
X = 12
