Question 158925: Simplify by removing factors of 1
x^2-1/1-x

Answer by KnightOwlTutor(293)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2-1 can be factored into (x+1)(x-1)
in order to get 1-X to look like x-1 you need to factor out a -1
therefore (x+1)(x-1)/-(x-1) Cancel out the (x-1)and get -(x+1)as the final answer.
