(9x^2 divided by 16 over 9y^2-24y+16) divided by (6y+8)
He states his answer to the problem as 2(3y+4). Is he correct?
-----------------
[9x^2/16] / [(9y^2-24y+16)/(6y+8)]
Factor where possible:
[9x^2/16] / [(3y-4)^2/(2(3y+4))]
Invert the denominator and multiply:
= [9x^2/16] / [2(3y+4)/(3y-4)^2]
Cancel factors common to numerator and denominator,
such as 2
-------------
Note: This does not simplify to the form 2(3y+4)
