Question 151007: [(4x)/(x+10)]-1 =0
Answer by mducky2(62)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[(4x)/(x+10)] - 1 = 0
[(4x)/(x+10)] = 1
[(4x)/(x+10)]*(x+10) = 1*(x+10)
4x = x+10
4x-x = x-x+10
3x = 10
3x/3 = 10/3
x = 10/3
Whenever you see a fraction that has a variable on the bottom, usually the key step to solving it is to multiply each side by that denominator.
