You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find Sum.
4%2F%283a-6%29%2Ba%2F%282%2Ba%29

You can use this principle for adding two fractions:

%28UPPER_LEFT%29%2F%28LOWER_LEFT%29%2B%28UPPER_RIGHT%29%2F%28LOWER_RIGHT%29 =

%284%282%2Ba%29%2Ba%283a-6%29%29%2F%283a-6%29%282%2Ba%29

Multiply out the top and bottoms:

%288%2B4a%2B3a%5E2-6a%29%2F%286a%2B3a%5E2-12-6a%29

Combine like terms:

%288-2a%2B3a%5E2%29%2F%283a%5E2-12%29

Write the top in descending order:

%283a%5E2-2a%2B8%29%2F%283a%5E2-12%29

You can factor the bottom as 3%28a-2%29%28a%2B2%29
if you like, but there is no reason to, because
the top doesn't factor. But if you like you
can express the final answer as:

%283a%5E2-2a%2B8%29%2F%283%28a-2%29%28a%2B2%29%29
