Let x and y the numbers then
x+y = -10
xy=24
y=-x-10
x(-x-10)=24
-x^2-10x-24=0
x= (10+sqrt(100-96))/-2 or x= (10-sqrt(100-96))/-2
then x=-6 or x=-4
then y=-4 or y=-6
Answer: Numbers are -6 and -4
