Question 141267: Hello I have to solve polynomials using the GFC and I do not know how. I have to so life tons so if you could help me with a few it would be great. OK so they 4 times t to the 5th power minus 12 times t to the 3rd power plus 8 times t to the second power. The next one is 12 times w to the 3rd power plus 8 times w to the second power plus 20 times w. Also if you could help me with 2 times k to the fourth power plus 4 times k to the 3rd power minus 6 times k minus 8. This one i can not seem to do.I will try to write them now in math form but just to let you know ' with a number after is an exponent. 4t'5-12t'3+bt'3 and 12w'3 + 8w'2 + 20w and 2k'4+4k'3-6k-8. Please help me i am sp confuses

t^2(4t^3 - 12t + 8)

The next one is 12 times w to the 3rd power plus 8 times w to the second power plus 20 times w.
4w(3w^2 + 2w + 5)

2 times k to the fourth power plus 4 times k to the 3rd power minus 6 times k minus 8
2(6k^4 + 2k^3 - 3k - 4)
------------------------------------
4t^5-12t^3+bt^3
= 4t^5 -(12-b)t^3
= t^3 [ 4t^2-12+b]
-----------------------------------------------
12w'3 + 8w'2 + 20w
4w(3w^2 + 2w + 5)
------------------------------------

2k'4+4k'3-6k-8
2(k^4 +2k^3 - 3k -4)
